The OC = Axed.

Not surprisingly, the Fox Network in the USA has canned The OC after rumours circulated for months that this would be the shows final season.

Some of Televisions greatest characters have come from that show: Julie Cooper-Nichol-Roberts who is played by Miranda Cooper (the second greatest woman alive on television, right after Eva Longoria), Taylor Townsend (the funniest person on the OC by far) who beats the living shit out of Meeeeeeeeescha Barton's Marissa any day of the week, Summer Roberts provided us with laughs galore from seasons 1 to 3, and Kirsten & Sandy Cohen are THE. BEST. TV. PARENTS. EVER. But pretty much every character (except for that nice-to-look-at loser from last season that killed himself) that's been and gone through this show has served a brilliant purpose in entertaining me to the fullest.

Now, it is to be no more. The finale "will deliver real closure to the series, to the story we began telling four years ago," series creator Josh Schwartz said in a statement. As long as the "real closure" is nothing like the closure found in the Six Feet Under finale, which made me so depressed that I cried for an entire weekend... I still cannot watch that episode without having to take time off work for two days after.

The Fox Network in the US will be screening the series finale on the 22nd of February and, I'm guessing, shortly after here in Australia on the Ten Network.
I'm really sad! So many fabulous people that I won't get to see each week... Could someone give Miranda Cooper her own Dynasty like show after this all ends?
