Run your own website? Stuck for ideas as to what you should tripe on about this week? Why not tell everyone what the latest additions to your iPod are!!?!?11!

DIXIE CHICKS - NOT READY TO MAKE NICE
You know, I'd completely forgotten about these girls. I've been a fan from the sidelines since the "Fly" album, so when I got one of those nice little packages in the mail with this single in it, well, you can only just imagine the screams of joy. To top it all off, this song is several hundred shades of ace, and a seriously classy comeback. Depressing as all hell, but thankfully not in a Radiohead kind of way. The video clip is damn hot too.

MATT WILLIS - UP ALL NIGHT
Well I'm seriously a bit behind on this one, aren't I? To be honest, I was too busy with that "Hey Kid" track of his that I pretty much missed the boat announcing "Up All Night" would be the new single. And may I just add that it is about 600 times better than anything on the Son Of Dork album? Matt's also looking a fair bit respectable in the video clip as well. Hurrah!

DANNII MINOGUE - SO UNDER PRESSURE
There are some interesting rumours doing the rounds about this track. One of them being that it's Dannii's "This-is-what-I-was-feeling-whilst-my-sister-was-terminally-ill" song. Whatever she's crooning on about, this song is really quite special. It has a serious whiff of a mid 90's house influence, which will no doubt be the sound of all dance music in about 2 years, just like when Dannii's electro-80's sound for the album "Neon Nights" did not take off till about 12 months after she released it. So does this make Dannii a bit of a genius and, you know, quite ahead of her time, or reaaaaally behind? Either way the poor love is a bit unlucky. Pity really, I love her just that little bit more than I love Kylie.

VANILLA NINJA - DANGERZONE

It's common knowledge that I worship the foreign ground those crazy CFBGoesPop Girls walk on. Even more so now that, thanks to them, I have the brand new Vanilla Ninja track "Dangerzone", which is just a little bit TOO BRILLIANT FOR ITS OWN GOOD REALLY. And, as expected, there is a seriously euphoric key change that makes taking ecstasy seem all a bit boring.

LINDSAY LOHAN - WHO LOVES YOU

The new Lindsay Lohan album is shithouse. There, I've said it. I have given Linds enough chances but she's just not made an impact on me this time around. Of course, Mr. IAR has actually only listened to the thing once (almost) in full, but seriously, that was a task and a half to get through the first time, why would I even bother for a second? However, this little number (track 11 out of 12, I've never really gotten past track 10 you see) is a bloody corker. It's no "To Know Your Name", but it's about as close to a rather good pop number as she's going to give us on this latest offering. The chorus is a bit lush with La Lohan "ooooh-ooooh"ing here and there. Should be a single, but as is the case most of the time, will not be.

MADONNA - GET TOGETHER
This hasn't exactly been
recently added, but I have recently rediscovered my love for it. I could very well be the only person on the web who is quite happy "Get Together" has been chosen as the third single from Madge's "Confessions On A Dancefloor" album. It's just lush really, and the lyrics, a bit simple but oh-so-nice. Funnily enough, any songs about being in love where the love isn't really returned seem to be a bit of a hit here at the IAR offices on any given day...

INFERNAL - DRESSED IN BLUE

Attention: Denmark's Infernal and their Australian record company Central Station. This could very well be the 6th greatest single of 2006, if only it would get a release. It is probably in everyone's best interest that you both see this happens. Thank you.

Got a song you'd like me to hear? Help cheer Mr. IAR up with something he hasn't heard that you think he'll enjoy by emailing it, things are all a bit surly and gloom-ridden here at the offices of late!

=( ..... x 30,000,000

The most depressing news item of the week comes in the form of new single details for the Rogue Traders.

As much as I think "We're Coming Home" is a great song, and even though back in October when I
reviewed the album, I mentioned it being an obvious single choice, I still can't help but feel ridiculously gutted that "In Love Again" will not be the next single from the nations favourite electro-pop'ers.

I am extremely upset. The news has, quite frankly, ruined my entire week. For goodness sake, I've already begun drinking for the weekend because of this news. AND IT'S ONLY 3:00PM ON A THURSDAY AFTERNOON.

DRINKING!
ALL BEFORE DINNER ON A THURSDAY!
DOING SO IN THE OFFICE!
WHAT ON EARTH WILL I DO NEXT?!
OBVIOUSLY IT IS HIGH TIME TO REMOVE ANY SHARP OBJECTS FROM IMMEDIATE VIEW ISN'T IT?!

The news has caused such frustration that three previously planned stories for today will not be going live on the site until I have recovered correctly.

And anyone who dares to claim I am overreacting clearly has absolutely no idea of the sheer magic that surrounds one when listening to "In Love Again".

Before all this rather devastating news, I was sooo ready to state that "In Love Again" was going to be the best single of the year, too.

The Crying Game

Poor Javine Lisa Scott-Lee.

This Sunday sees the Australian release of Lisa's rather good single "Electric".

However, the chances of it doing, well, anything on our charts, is almost laughable. It's fairly safe to say that every radio station in the country bar one (Joy FM) has chosen to ignore it, and even Club [V] haven't been playing the video clip.

Club [V] play
anything.

The problem here is, no one actually really knows it exists. Lisa hasn't bothered to come down for a bit of promo work which may have helped even a tiny bit. There's the whole Steps angle which she could have milked, and, you know, Steps didn't do all that badly in Australia now did they?

I like Lisa. There, it's been said. I also really like "Electric". When I heard it was getting an Aussie release, I got extremely excited at the thought of Lisa coming down, parading about in next to nothing at a few instores, maybe doing a bit of Television and had even fantasized the thought of someone like Channel 10 airing the ridiculously ace Totally Scott-Lee.

Instead, Lisa has done, well, nothing. Nothing at all.

Why has she even bothered then?

I shall be joining the other 2 Lisa Scott-Lee fans in Australia this Sunday to purchase a copy of "Electric". This is surely going to brighten her day next Sunday evening; "Sorry Lisa, your single hasn't even cracked the Top 50 in Australia, but the good news is three people in the country DID buy it, and the gays over at Joy FM in Melbourne still love you, so not all is lost."

Number #23 isn't looking so bad these days is it Lisa?

Oh IT'S ON.

I'm fairly sure that by now you would have heard the amazing news that the next Girls Aloud single in Australia is going to be the downright amazing "The Show".

Of course, no official release date has been confirmed as yet, but the song and its brilliantly cheap video clip have been serviced to all the necessary places.

Our beloved Girls are being given another chance.

ISN'T THIS JUST SIMPLY AMAZING?!

Surely things could not get any better in the future release stakes, right?

Well, imagine my absolute shock and delight when I heard that Swedish pop act, September,
is about to release "Satellites" as her first Australian single. For those of you who don't know, "Satellites" is one of the most amazing songs EVER CREATED.

THIS IS ALL A BIT TOO MUCH EXCITEMENT FOR A TUESDAY, IS IT NOT?!

Exactly.

Hello... Is It Me You're Looking For?

WELL.

What an absolute abortion of a week it has been in the IAR offices. Blogger has decided it doesn't like our server and refuses to publish anything to it at all. Of course, the lovely (!) folk down at the Blogger Help HQ are, surprisingly, of no help whatsoever, and have not even responded to any of my 300 cries of help over the last 8 days.

This creates some 'minor' problems with the site, you see, and it has been an absolute nightmare trying to figure out what to do. Should I just wait, which could very easily be anything from another week to two months, or should I start using something like WordPress or CuteNews, which would probably take two months just to incorporate into my current site layout, or just set up a temporary site through the actual blogger servers.

Can you actually believe it took me a full week to figure out what I was going to do?

Stupid really.

BONUS: Download
the worlds most unintentionally hilarious video clip, Lionel Ritchie's "Hello", to celebrate the sites return.

Competition Tuesday

Because I haven't quite gotten over the fact that "Biology" is the most brilliant piece of music to ever be created, I've decided to throw a little "competition".

Thanks to Universal, this site has 7 (seven) copies of Girls Aloud's current Australian single, "Biology", which every single one of you should have purchased by now, to give away. However, looking at where the song currently sits on the ARIA charts this week (#48), I'm guessing there's a few of you readers who haven't paid your way toward keeping good, decent pop music in the charts with enough exposure.

So I am simply going to FORCE the song down your throats, because, quite frankly, everyone should love it.*

Email us by 5pm EST this Friday and be one of the first 7 (seven) to do so.

Quite an easy task really.

*For the last 3 weeks I have demanded a DJ play my copy of "Biology" at an insanely popular indie Friday Night club. Within these 3 weeks it has become an anthem. And yet no one is buying it. Unfuckingbelievable. The nation would rather spend their money on absolute shit like Westlife, James Cunt and Nelly for crying out loud. It's seriously high time we all just packed our bags and moved ourselves to the U.K. or Sweden really isn't it?

You're Getting Angry You Know I Can See...

Oh dear.

After an unbelievably long weekend, I got into the office this morning to find about six emails from readers in absolute fits over the recently released Official Tour Dates for Madonna's "Confessions Tour".

In the official press release, Australia is not listed, but Japan is.

Madonna promised that if she toured Japan, she would tour Australia.

Hrmm.

However, another email that arrived through my inbox back in mid-March made claim by someone "in the know" that Madonna would be attending the MTV Video Music Awards in Australia on the 12th of April. But then a source over at Warner Music told me that "
The only chance Madonna will make an appearance at the awards is if she is announcing tour dates here in Australia at the time..."

This was back in March. Madonna's "camp" have just announced that further dates are to be announced for the other shows. Could Madge be attending the MTV Awards held at the Sydney Dome in a little over a weeks time, just to announce she's touring here in September, and has decided to keep it hush hush because she hates us she's a bitch she has a rather silly admiration for springing surprises on annoyed fans?

If you're a fan of rumors, this is definitely one of the better ones heard this year...
