God Returns, Links & Other Matters

HOW AMAZING WAS THE O.C. ON TUESDAY NIGHT AUSTRALIA? AND HOW SPLENDID IS IT THAT CHANNEL 10 IS SCREENING THE O.C. "AS IT HAPPENS" IN THE US OF A? And unlike Jericho (What is a "Jericho"?), The O.C. is worth watching: and how amazing was the first episode?! Let us all take a moment to reflect on how much of a wise choice it was to use Placebo's cover of the Kate Bush masterpiece "Running Up That Hill" to drive the most gripping scenes of the season opener, shall we?

Excellent.

So how's our cast going without Mischa? Well, Melinda Clarke/God who plays Julie Cooper-Nichol-Roberts/God is set to have one of her best seasons yet (tragic yet brilliant in a Jackie-Collins-Novel kind of way), Ryan looks very nice with his new hair cut; a punched up/bleeding face and 3 day growth make him look a hundred times hotter than he EVER has, Seth is still ridiculously fun, The Cohen's are still huggable, my soft spot for Taylor is still very active and as for Summer... well, Summer's off finding herself at University, making hash cookies with Heather Mills-McCartney and protesting against those who eat chicken. I KNOW. If Mischa wasn't dead she'd be bitch slapping Summer with a Fendi hand-bag made out of ACTUAL CHICKEN'S FOR THIS RIDICULOUS BEHAVIOR. OR SOMETHING. Although it must be said Summer's hair has actually never looked QUITE AS FABULOUS as it does this season. This season: almost exciting me more than Tripping Over has been which - thanks to the lovely Paul over at The Zapping for informing me - has begun screening on Channel 5 in the UK. So go watch.

Speaking of links and the like, I'll be updating my links page over the weekend/Monday morning, so if you feel your website deserves a plug on there or know of one I may thoroughly enjoy visiting, fire through an email and I'll hop to it. Also, that Stock/Aitken/Waterman radio special I threw together earlier this month will be up for download next week, much like Madonna Album Madness which also lands next week. Am still very much in the middle of organising the purchase of my new car after my old one died 3 weeks ago, so I haven't really had the time and energy I'd like to devote to said Madge piece.

Some Quick Facts you could probably do without:

> The new McFly album is still very good.

> I was so happy hearing that Britney had kicked Fed-Ex to the curb that I took the day off from work when it happened. To watch TV.

> Australian Idol is now more tedious to watch than Big Brother was this year.

> My hair cut with Vesna on Saturday went very well thank you.

> I had Wednesday off work. It was lovely and just what I needed after the SHITTEST 2.5 weeks of my life.

> I've spent most of my free time this week watching the Season 1 DVD of Ally McBeal. It's been an emotional ride.

> My phone bill will be arriving in the post soon.

> It is just about bed time.

Hooroo then!
