Monday, September 25, 2006 McFly manage the impossible...
...and have surprisingly been able to produce a video even cheaper than Girls Aloud's "Something Kinda Ooooh". Instead of doing a shit studio job, they just threw together some home-made movies from a cam-corder of themselves trying to send Dougie into space from Tom's backyard. And when that's all too much, it's shots of them singing for a few fans. Danny also has an unusual head of hair styled on his scalp. =(
Madonna's "Jump" video better be fucking good, because I'm absolutely losing my patience with everyone else's pathetic efforts of late...
1.) If you're still not feeling "Star Girl," the video distracts from the music pretty well--I spent the whole time wondering what on Earth this was, not thinking about the song at all.
2.) It's not as bad as the video for "I've Got You" (clips from concerts? If I wanted that, I'd buy the tour DVD! Also not the most eye-catching strategy when trying to break the US), though I suspect whoever was behind that was also behind this.
Of course, given that it's McFly, I'll probably have forgiven them in a few days. It'd maybe be cute if it was a fan-made video or an extra on a single or something...not the official video. I just don't think it'll fit in on music video channels.
