The greatest single of 2006...

...is not "Maneater". Nor is it "Beware Of The Dog", or even "So Under Pressure". The greatest single of 2006 will be "In Love Again" by the Rogue Traders.

James Ash, member of the Rogues says that it's being released to coincide with the tour, whilst The Herald Sun today claim it's going to be a radio only single. I'm going to believe Mr. James Ash this time round, seeing as he's actually in the band and The Herald Sun are not.

Therefore, "In Love Again" will be the most brilliant, magnificent and downright fan-fucking-tastic single release of 2006. I cannot wait for the video... (it better not be one of those cop-out live footage ones either thank you.)

Also, the new Jamelia and Stephanie McIntosh albums found their way onto all "those" mp3 sharing forums in the last 48 hours. Let's just say that Jamelia's pretty much bagged the album of the year (not one song is skip-worthy, put it that way) with "Walk With Me". Solid poptastic moments through the whole album, and even a song in which Jam-Jam's invokes the soul of Alicia Keys, which is brilliant because this means you'll never have to listen to Alicia Keys EVER AGAIN. Hurrah!

Stephanie McIntosh's effort, whilst surprisingly good, still manages to toy-about with other people's sounds a little too much. Although the album opener "So Do I Say Sorry First" is an absolute ripper and needs to be considered as a single. In fact - If I can remember correctly - one Friday evening whilst I was falling in and out of sleep watching Steph's reality show (you know, the one that makes Rachel Stevens look like Madonna), she made mention that she co-wrote this song. So there you go.

Sorry for the lack of updates. Some "shit" has been hitting the "fan" so to speak.

I have to say, you may be right about 'In Love Again', for having found the album - and listening again - I have noticed, that this may be one of those songs I just forgot about.

Also - hope everything is OK for you!

    Samuel
