5ive, what'chya waitin' 4our, if ya wanna 3-2-1...

To your right is 5ive, or "Five", which is how they like to be known as now.

Not 5ive. And certainly not 4our, but Five.

These "lads" were responsible for some of the late 90's (and early noughties) most brilliant pop music moments, including "When The Lights Go Out", "Until The Time Is Through", "If Ya Gettin' Down", "Keep On Movin" and a "stack more".

Taking all this into deep consideration, the four good members of Five have decided to shout out loud - in the immortal words of Sarah Tomic on ABC TV's Raw FM - "We're Baaaaaaaaaaaaaack".

The boys have been writing with Guy Chambers (Robbie Williams' old writing partner, friend of Delta Goodrem and, according to the Five press release, Madonna) and some other folk. The new album will be self funded. Sean (the Asian one) is still trying to unleash a solo career upon the world, hence his absence from this reunion.

Quite frankly - like the rest of the world - I'm relieved he won't be joining them.

There's still the issue of "Gee that Ritchie looks a lot like Celine Dion, doesn't he?", but J, Scott and Abs MORE than make up for this nonsense, even if Scott's put on about 600 kilo's since his face last graced my bedroom wall. He still manages to look really great though. Amazing.

You can read all about this heaven-sent gift over at the official Five website.

They also have their own myspace. Boy that was quick.

Have you read the comments on their Myspace?

Their fans are out of control. I couldn't like anything as much as they seem to like Five.

Although, they're nothing compared to those rabbid Dannii-forum fans who are highly deluded, hostile, dangerous, insane, manically dedicated and generally sub-human.

Unfortunately I have no use for Five, mainly because of the laws requiring 'consent'.
