Run your own website? Stuck for ideas as to what you should tripe on about this week? Why not tell everyone what the latest additions to your iPod are!!?!?11!
DIXIE CHICKS - NOT READY TO MAKE NICE You know, I'd completely forgotten about these girls. I've been a fan from the sidelines since the "Fly" album, so when I got one of those nice little packages in the mail with this single in it, well, you can only just imagine the screams of joy. To top it all off, this song is several hundred shades of ace, and a seriously classy comeback. Depressing as all hell, but thankfully not in a Radiohead kind of way. The video clip is damn hot too.
MATT WILLIS - UP ALL NIGHT Well I'm seriously a bit behind on this one, aren't I? To be honest, I was too busy with that "Hey Kid" track of his that I pretty much missed the boat announcing "Up All Night" would be the new single. And may I just add that it is about 600 times better than anything on the Son Of Dork album? Matt's also looking a fair bit respectable in the video clip as well. Hurrah!
DANNII MINOGUE - SO UNDER PRESSURE There are some interesting rumours doing the rounds about this track. One of them being that it's Dannii's "This-is-what-I-was-feeling-whilst-my-sister-was-terminally-ill" song. Whatever she's crooning on about, this song is really quite special. It has a serious whiff of a mid 90's house influence, which will no doubt be the sound of all dance music in about 2 years, just like when Dannii's electro-80's sound for the album "Neon Nights" did not take off till about 12 months after she released it. So does this make Dannii a bit of a genius and, you know, quite ahead of her time, or reaaaaally behind? Either way the poor love is a bit unlucky. Pity really, I love her just that little bit more than I love Kylie.
VANILLA NINJA - DANGERZONE It's common knowledge that I worship the foreign ground those crazy CFBGoesPop Girls walk on. Even more so now that, thanks to them, I have the brand new Vanilla Ninja track "Dangerzone", which is just a little bit TOO BRILLIANT FOR ITS OWN GOOD REALLY. And, as expected, there is a seriously euphoric key change that makes taking ecstasy seem all a bit boring.
LINDSAY LOHAN - WHO LOVES YOU The new Lindsay Lohan album is shithouse. There, I've said it. I have given Linds enough chances but she's just not made an impact on me this time around. Of course, Mr. IAR has actually only listened to the thing once (almost) in full, but seriously, that was a task and a half to get through the first time, why would I even bother for a second? However, this little number (track 11 out of 12, I've never really gotten past track 10 you see) is a bloody corker. It's no "To Know Your Name", but it's about as close to a rather good pop number as she's going to give us on this latest offering. The chorus is a bit lush with La Lohan "ooooh-ooooh"ing here and there. Should be a single, but as is the case most of the time, will not be.
MADONNA - GET TOGETHER This hasn't exactly been recently added, but I have recently rediscovered my love for it. I could very well be the only person on the web who is quite happy "Get Together" has been chosen as the third single from Madge's "Confessions On A Dancefloor" album. It's just lush really, and the lyrics, a bit simple but oh-so-nice. Funnily enough, any songs about being in love where the love isn't really returned seem to be a bit of a hit here at the IAR offices on any given day...
INFERNAL - DRESSED IN BLUE Attention: Denmark's Infernal and their Australian record company Central Station. This could very well be the 6th greatest single of 2006, if only it would get a release. It is probably in everyone's best interest that you both see this happens. Thank you.
Got a song you'd like me to hear? Help cheer Mr. IAR up with something he hasn't heard that you think he'll enjoy by emailing it, things are all a bit surly and gloom-ridden here at the offices of late!

I recently added: "Dare to Dream" by Livvy and Jonny live from the 2000 olympics. I am aware that this officially makes me a complete loser.
Also added was the truly FUCKING BRILLIANT and i might say BIBLICAL moment of television from 2004 when Casey came out and performed "Here's Where I Stand" in the AI2 heats.

Dannii Minogue is truly the gift that keeps giving. She puts out a stunning record like Girl and follows it up with the worst single known to man (Coconut). This inconsistency is the template for her career. I love her to bits in that way that you also feel compelled to make fun of. She is Frida to Kylie's Agnetha. Mini-Minogue - don't ever change.
