Charteater

We're well into February and I was beginning to worry that there hadn't been many certifiably brilliant pop singles released yet. Don't get me wrong, there have been a couple, such as Madonna's "Sorry" and Girls Aloud's "Whole Lotta History", but for two months in, having only two mindblowingly outstanding pop singles just isn't good enough.

Thank the almighty heavens above then, for
Nelly Retardo Furtado, who's new single "Maneater" sits comfortably up there with Madge and The Aloud's amazing contributions to the early risings of the year.

Isn't this song just... weird?! But in the most delightful way possible. Whoa, Nelly indeed, I knew that I liked Da-Tado (especially after her downright under-rated last album criminally flopped), but I didn't realize she was capable of making a record THIS good. It's being released in the U.K. and, hopefully here in Oz, on March the 6th, so mark that date into your diary as one that will entail a visit to your local CD retailer to purchase what could very well shape up to be the single of the year (Disclaimer: so far.)!

Oh, and I have updated the website TOP 50 CHART today... Nelly's in there, along with new entries from Madge, Van She, The Defence, P!NK, Pay TV and a "stack more". The page also contains details on the chart getting airplay over on our show Professional Distortion. View it in full here...
